After her father's death her mother married Thomas Tobey, and Abiah and her sister Mehitabel later married Thomas's youngest sons Samuel and Gershom, who jointly inherited their father's farm, with explicit instructions on how to divide the house and barn between the two families.Ībiah married Samuel Tobey in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Ambrose Fish and Hannah Swift.
